Made fore Woodman with hes wonderfull valnut.
The steel is forged 2140(O1) by Cegga i have shaped it and ground it.
Its not so big as it looks like it must be the angle on the in hand pics.
Bladelegnth: 115 mm
Width: 26 mm
Handlelegth: 120 mm
Width: 34 mm

Seved, you did exactly what I asked you to do, a forged blade and one piece of scandi-shaped figured walnut, keep it simple and traditional with no fancy extras, inlays, bolsters, spacers, etc., just let the blade and the wood show their beauty, they don't need any help, that's for sure! I love this type of blade, it's one of the best I've seen and I know what type of edge you put on your blades!

I've started cutting some hidden tang blocks of this same amazing walnut on request for a customer. It was a large old tree growing along the shores of Lake Michigan. Must be the winters!!
If I had the money I would have a custom over/under shotgun made with this crotchwood. I'm going to buy a lottery ticket right now!

Thanks Woodeye. I am realy glad you like it. I realy like this knife to. Its realy good valnut in this handle. I am going to oil it two more times and then polish it. Then i will make a dangler for it.
Yes those slow growing trees is realy nice. Yes It would be nice to have a gunstock in this wood.

The mailman delivered this beauty today and I feel like it's Christmas in June! I traded a box of walnut and maple for this one and asked Seved to make a simple but beautiful knife with no frills, just a forged blade and a nice piece of walnut. Seved did a super job on this forged blade and chose a very nice piece of walnut crotch. The sheath is superb also with a professional staining. The knife has great balance and the blade has Seved's super edge. The finish on the walnut is topnotch and really brought out the figure. The shape of the handle provides a very comfortable and secure grip.

Seved and I have been worried because this delivery has taken longer than normal. The package had been opened so that tells me that the guys at the post office spent a few days admiring it and debating whether they could make it get "lost". Seved's reputation as Sweden's Badass Ironman convinced them to do the right thing!

Seved, this is one of your best and I feel very lucky to have it. You have great knifemaking skills. I'd like to see you make a similar one in maple crotch.
