Well, in my defense they were like my Soaps only with really hot babes in spandex. Me and my friends would sit and read them together and yell and scream about this and that happening and then be waiting on the edge of our seats for the next issue to come out to see what happened next.

Understand something, I really did grow up on a farm, miles out in the country long before home computers, cable or satellite TV or even video game like Pong. Heck we didn't even have a VCR! So those few of us children who did live close enough to bicycle to each other's house would grab our comics and a few Mexican cigarettes, and read them and have our fun. Sometimes though, between comic book releases, we would play D&D or Traveler. What else was there to do once the sun went down? When it was up, we had chores to do and when those were done we were out in the woods with out .22 rifles shooting stuff.

I actually miss those days a lot too. It was a lot of fun.

For Savage Sword at least, I've read that a few of these comics were compiled into books, only a few volumes were available. Surely there's also been compilations of R.E. Howard's original stories!
